This Toolkit, jointly produced by Cancer Patients Europe and GAMIAN-Europe, provides practical guidance and resources for cancer patients experiencing depression. Developed through consultation with people with lived experience of cancer and depression, it covers contributing factors and warning signs of depression, evidence-based coping strategies (cognitive, emotional, and problem-focused), practical advice on accessing mental health support, and curated resources including books, podcasts, and videos. The toolkit addresses the physical, emotional, and social challenges of navigating cancer and depression simultaneously, with the goal of empowering patients to foster resilience, hope, and healing.
