Cancer Patients Europe Annual Activity Report 2023
Cancer Patients Europe’s Annual Activity Report 2023 documents the organisation’s first full operational year following its 2022 establishment. CPE held its inaugural General Assembly in May 2023, electing Francisco Rodriguez Lozano as Chair and establishing a five-member Board of Directors. Membership grew to 38 members across 19 countries, with staff expanded to include three new members. Major initiatives included launching the myC (My Cancer My Concern) genomic testing awareness campaign with survey results presented at EBCC Barcelona and ESMO Congress, establishing the HTA Task Force to educate patients on the new EU Health Technology Assessment Regulation, and issuing joint statements on Real-World Evidence and the European Health Data Space. The report covers CPE’s participation in three EU-funded projects (PREVENT, INTERCEPTOR, ThermoBreast), the Patient Leadership to Tackle Cancer in Europe launch event on 4 July 2023, engagement with 192 international events, communication growth across digital channels, and external membership in key European health organisations.
