Why it matters
The OASIS project is focused on addressing the challenge of resistance to antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), which have shown significant promise in treating various cancers but often encounter resistance over time. To better understand and overcome this resistance, OASIS will create a biobank of patient-derived organoids (PDOs) that more accurately model how ADC resistance develops. The project will integrate advanced techniques, including whole-body molecular imaging, circulating tumor cell analysis, plasma proteomics, multiplex immunofluorescence, and AI-enhanced digital pathology, to identify and study the multiple mechanisms of resistance. By developing these tools, OASIS aims to discover biomarkers that can guide future treatment decisions for patients who progress on ADC therapies, ultimately improving clinical outcomes.
CPE’s role in the project
Our role in project is to provide the patients perspective to the project by creating a patient advisory board that will not only provide feedback on project but also review the results so that they can be disseminated in patient friendly manner.
