Why it matters
The iNTERVENE project aims to improve health literacy and reduce inequalities in cancer prevention and care for citizens, patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Using the Health Literacy Pathway Model, it will develop educational content and a Health Literacy Hub featuring a virtual library and training programmes that use gamification and scenario-based learning. By involving end-users through a Living Lab approach, iNTERVENE seeks to boost knowledge, communication skills, and engagement around cancer prevention and care. It will also provide accessible materials, like leaflets, to reach vulnerable or digitally excluded groups.
CPE’s role in the project
CPE takes part in the iNTERVENE project by contributing to evidence gathering on health literacy, supporting the piloting and evaluation of the Health Literacy Hub and training modules for patients and citizens and supporting policy outreach activities. CPE ensures the patient perspective is embedded throughout the project from identifying gaps and evaluating resources to engaging policymakers and promoting the long-term sustainability of the platform.
