ImmuneT-ME Consortium Meets in Cologne marking Key Project Milestone

The ImmuneT-ME consortium gathered for its first in-person meeting on 25 and 26 February 2026 at Uniklinik Köln in Cologne. The meeting brought together partners from across Europe and marked an important milestone for the project, providing a timely opportunity to reflect on progress made since its launch in May 2025 and to align on the next phase of work.

Over two days, consortium members shared updates across the different work areas, highlighting achievements to date, ongoing activities and priorities for the months ahead. The discussions demonstrated strong collaboration among clinical, research and patient partners, reinforcing the shared commitment to delivering meaningful impact. The meeting also allowed for in-depth exchanges, helping to strengthen coordination, clarify next steps and ensure that all partners remain aligned with the project’s overall objectives.

Key Role of CPE in Consortium

A key milestone highlighted during the meeting was the strong progress in communication and patient engagement activities. CPE, together with EuroBloodNet, is leading this important strand of the project. Their joint work focuses on raising wider awareness of mature T-cell lymphomas and leukaemias, developing accessible information materials for patients, supporting educational initiatives for healthcare professionals and ensuring that patients are empowered to discuss their condition and treatment options with their physicians. This coordinated effort aims to ensure that scientific progress is matched by clear communication and meaningful patient involvement.

ImmuneT-ME, a EPPerMed project, is dedicated to improving understanding and treatment of mature T-cell leukaemias and lymphomas, rare and often aggressive blood cancers with limited therapeutic options. By studying the immune environment surrounding cancer cells and identifying new ways to personalise treatment approaches, the project aims to support the development of more effective therapies and ultimately improve outcomes for patients across Europe.
