CPE joins the IMAGIO Project

We are thrilled to announce that Cancer Patients Europe (CPE) has joined the groundbreaking IMAGIO project, a large EU-funded project focusing on advancing interventional oncology. As leaders of Work Package 7, we will focus on communication and dissemination, playing a pivotal role in advancing this project. In June, we attended the 2nd plenary meeting of IMAGIO, which was held at Leiden University Medical Centre. In this insightful consortium meeting, stakeholders reviewed progress and set future goals for the project. Key updates included advancements in imaging technology, liver cancer treatment, and early-stage lung cancer detection. The event featured presentations from project leaders and productive breakout sessions, and concluded with a tour of innovative facilities and a networking dinner, reinforcing collaborative commitments and planning for the remainder of the project.

We look forward to the next steps and continuing our collaboration with the members of this remarkable consortium.

    About the IMAGIO Project

The IMAGIO project aims to transform cancer care by integrating innovative imaging techniques in clinical settings to enhance survival outcomes. By focusing on liver cancer, lung cancer, and sarcomas, IMAGIO will advance next-generation imaging technologies, from pre-clinical development to clinical trials, involving top MedTech and Pharma innovators as well as leading academic centers.

    Our Role in the Project

In our role as leaders of Work Package 7, Cancer Patients Europe will spearhead efforts to engage patients and organise interactive events with policymakers. We will manage all communication activities, including the website, social media, and newsletters, and work to strengthen IMAGIO’s visual identity and digital presence.
