On 19–20 May 2026, CPE proudly took part in the annual IMAGIO Consortium Meeting held in Cologne. IMAGIO is a public-private partnership project funded under the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), aiming to revolutionise minimally invasive cancer treatment for liver cancer, lung cancer, and sarcoma through advanced multimodal imaging and image-guided therapy. CPE plays a central role in the project’s communication, dissemination, and patient engagement efforts, leading Work Package 7 (WP7).
The two-day meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review progress, discuss challenges, and align priorities for the year ahead, with plenary updates from each work package followed by dedicated break-out sessions.
CPE presented WP7’s progress since July 2025, highlighting strong growth in all over communication and dissemination activities including social media reach, the launch of IMAGIO’s first newsletter, active participation in major events such as the ERS Congress and the CPE Exchange, and the delivery of a hands-on training course for pulmonologists across Europe. Looking ahead, priorities include expanding patient-friendly communication, rolling out awareness campaigns tied to key dates such as Sarcoma, Lung, and Liver Cancer Awareness Months, and supporting upcoming patient surveys on IMAGIO’s care pathways.
On Day 2, CPE led an interactive session with consortium partners to plan upcoming dissemination activities and explore new ways to connect scientific results with patient voices.
CPE’s involvement in IMAGIO reflects its ongoing commitment to ensuring patients are not only beneficiaries of innovation, but active contributors in shaping it — helping bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and the lived experiences of cancer patients.
