Who We Are
Cancer Patients Europe (CPE) unites the voices of cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers across Europe. Founded in 2022, CPE represents their needs before EU institutions, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the broader community. Our goal is to shape European policies that improve prevention, access to quality care, treatment, and survivorship support — reducing the overall burden of cancer on individuals and society.

EU Policy and Advocacy
Cancer Patients Europe (CPE) ensures that the voices of patients, survivors, and caregivers are heard in the formulation of European health policies. Through active engagement with EU institutions, CPE contributes to legislation and strategies that shape prevention, access to quality cancer care, treatment, and survivorship across Europe. Our Policy Focus Areas:
Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
Promoting patient participation in the implementation of the new EU HTA Regulation
Advocating for transparent, patient-centred use of health data across the EU
Supporting fair access to innovative and affordable medicines
Pushing for an EU framework ensuring equitable trial access for all patients
